This blog provides a service as action opportunity for G6 to think about the ethical implications of actions; when they are kind, courageous, or a good friend, what happens to them, to others, and the world because of their actions? In writing about the impact of these acts on a blog, we hope to raise awareness of how kindness, courage and friendship can propel us to greatness and help make the world a better place.

Cleaning the swimming pool
I live in a compound with a pool. It is an outdoor swimming pool and next to it there is a café and many tables.
Sometimes some people have a party next to the pool. Some people have pizza, others bring plastic cups and drink juice. Sometimes even someone has a birthday so parents buy balloons so that children can play. When all the parties are over, not everyone cleans up after themselves and when the wind blows, all the cups and balloons fall into the water. Then I and many others who swim at weekends can't swim because the water is dirty. Sometimes the water is also dirty because someone decided to dive for a plastic cup and then they won't clean it. Sometimes you can find fruit cores in the pool. Of course, the pool is cleaned by cleaners but only on some days, not every day. That's why I decided to help and dived underwater to find and throw away rubbish.
In the pool I found balloons and many other things that I threw away. I think it was friendly and kind of me, because when more people see that I have cleaned up the rubbish from the pool, they will also want to help.
