This blog provides a service as action opportunity for G6 to think about the ethical implications of actions; when they are kind, courageous, or a good friend, what happens to them, to others, and the world because of their actions? In writing about the impact of these acts on a blog, we hope to raise awareness of how kindness, courage and friendship can propel us to greatness and help make the world a better place.

helping a kid
today in the school i helped a kid that had to much bags (not allowed to put his name) his fake name is ali. he had a lot of bags so i helped him get up the stairs and at the end he was happy and he went to his class.
i love being kind
Hello, my name is cameron and I am going to talk about all the acts of kindness that I will be doing throughout this blog. My first act of kindness is when I go to the lunch room at 10:30. I always give my chocolate croissant to one of my friends called kriss because he always gets healthy food and he hates the type of food his parents give him and he always loves the type of food my parents give me. When I go to the lunch room we always sit next to each other and I share my food with him and it puts a smile on both of our faces.
The second act of kindness is when I was really sick my sister was so bored and I played with her for a little while and she was happy and when she was happy I felt happy as well because I made my little sister happy.

Jude| Helping My Mom Cook Lunch| April 5, 2019
April 5, 2019,
On April 5, 2019, I helped my mom cook lunch for our family. On that day my mom was cooking Mansaf which is a cultural food in Palestine. so I helped my mom with making the rice and she made the meat and the soup. I also helped her set up the table. we had some guests coming over for lunch like my cousins and some family friends.
I think this is an act of kindness because I was helping my mom with making the food not only for my self but also my family member and family friends, and I was being kind to others. I think it was an act of sympathy because I felt how my mom felt, how she got tired and the time it took her to make the BEST food for us.

Find Yourself with the Map of the Soul
BTS is having a comeback (new album) on April 12 called 'Map of the Soul: Persona'.
For those who don't know, BTS just finished their 'Love Yourself' album trilogy that consists of 'Love Yourself: Her', "Love Yourself: Tear' and 'Love Yourself: Answer'. The 'Love Yourself' series helped lots of people emotionally with its inspiring lyrics and empowering message so I wanted to celebrate the end of the 'Love Yourself' era and the new one.
BTS are kind of continuing their concept though. Now after 3 albums, ARMYs (their fans) love themselves, they need to find who they truly are using the map of the soul.
For two of my ARMY (ARMYs are BTS fans) friends, I made what I call a 'Love Yourself Box'. It is a box covered in the 'Love Yourself' concept pictures and the albums covers too. Inside, I wrote down and folded up some BTS lyrics such as...
Personally, I think I displayed friendship because I have made them gifts to celebrate what we love (BTS) and to share a special message.
I can't wait for April 12th!

- "It's just that loving myself doesn't require anyone else's permission." - RM, 'Answer: Love Myself'
- "I may be a little blunt, I may lack somethings. I may not have that glow around me, but this is me. My arms, my legs, my heart, my soul." - Jin, 'Epiphany'
- "Me, who used to be sad. Me, who used to be hurt. It'll make me more beautiful." - Jungkook, 'Answer: Love Myself'
- "The me of yesterday, the me of today, the me of tomorrow. With no exceptions, it's all me." from 'Answer: Love Myself'
- "I'm the one I should love in this world. Shining me, precious soul of mine. I finally realized, so I love me. Not so perfect, but beautiful. I'm the one I should love." from 'Epiphany'

Hi! Welcome! Im Maria
I have been challenged to be kind, courageous, & be a friend
My family has always been kind & caring, we always want to help those in need.
Every month what my family & I do is.....
We gather up all our old clothes, clothes that don't fit, or clothes that we don't want or need anymore, we stuff all the clothes inside a bag, so right now there is war in Sudan πΈπ© (That's where I come from) and it's pretty tough it has happened for the past three days!
So what we did was all the kids that were in need, we gave them to my aunty (She lives in Qatar and was traveling to Sudan) so she could give it to all those poor kids in the hospital.
In this activity, I think my family & I showed kindness because we helped those who were in need.

Giving Celine's Mom Treats
This morning, I decided to bring Celine's mom some yummy treats. I got her a box of these little Arabic cake treats. They have powdered sugar, and the powdered sugar is on the muffin part, and strawberry jam inside. It is very delicious. Celine's mom appreciated the gesture.

Welcoming my friend Aisha Taprell to her new school.
On the first day of school, I showed courage. I saw a shy girl standing in the crowd, and immediately it reminds me of myself in third grade, the first time I came to ACS Doha I was an absolute nervous wreck, but my anxiety improved, anyway, I went and showed courage by being Aisha's best buddy, she was an extreme help for me to practice my social and confidence skills in real life situations, so not only did I help her but I also improved my skills of branching out of my comfort zone in school.
Aisha told me all about her past school and lifestyle, she told me she is Australian and lived in Australia for basically her whole life, it was nice to know someone that I have never ever met before yet we have a lot of similarities; we both have two older sisters, we lived our whole life in our homeland before we came to Qatar, we are both now going to the same school, and we both show courage, friendship, and kindness to each other and the others, and I know for a fact that if someone in the future comes to Aisha's class, she will branch out like I did and welcome them with the warmest heart in the world.
This taught me that helping others will also help you in some kind of shape or way, because kindness is contagious to everyone in the whole wide world, and you will probably feel good about yourself if you. show good behavior whether you volunteered to help a community or a new friend in school. This also taught me that helping a friend will make them really happy when they are in need as well as they will help you like you helped them when they are in need of a shoulder to cry on or a simple smile that will make them full of joy and happiness and they will spread it around their friends and family and also almost everyone they meet.
As for now, I and Aisha are great fun friends that enjoy our time when we are together.

Empowering notes!
One morning I woke up cheerful ready to show some courage in this world! I went to the art shop and gathered my sources to make baskets and over the years I wrote some empowering notes... I decided to put my notes on paper, in my basket and out to hand out to my family. I had the courage to show my personal notes that people might relate to. I might not have the courage to show it to the whole school but maybe by next week, I will step up... Until next time
Doggy Daycare
This Friday my friend Ruby and I decided that we wanted to go and help out and walk dogs at 2nd chance rescue. We walked and helped many dogs. We also played with the puppy's and kept the big dogs entertained. The woman that was working there was very sweet and kind. She helped us with anything we needed, she also got us out the dogs we were going to walk. Ruby and I are hoping to go back this weekend coming because we love helping the dogs. While walking the dogs we showed the attribute kindness and courage. We showed kindness because we took time out of our day to help out with walking the dogs. We showed courage because we tried something different, and some of the dogs were difficult to walk with.

Meeting a New Friend...
I was in 6th grade and a new girl showed up at ACS. At first, I didn't even know her name. It was the first class and I don't remember the teacher.
There was this girl though, she is kinda tall, kinda smiley face. She looked pretty nice and kind, so I went ahead and asked her: what is your name? When is your birthday? Where were you before you came to ACS and I thought that was pretty good because we went ahead and found out about each other (and by the way I introduced myself to her at the beginning before I asked her these questions).
Since that day we became friends and we always walked together in recess and we sat down beside each other most of the times (if we didn't have assigned seats), and we will hang out with each other almost every time we saw each other.
This girl was really understanding because when I was feeling sad, I went to her and I told her that so she put herself in my shoes, and she helped me calm down. I can really trust my new friend because I told her so many secrets that she never told anybody about them.
This is my story about when I first met my FRIEND!
Kindness can Make your Day Full of Brightness!!!
Today, I and my sister went to play outside in the garden, We wanted to play and have fun together, so we went outside and we got our balls and started playing. After playing for several minutes, we hear something meowing, so I stopped playing with the ball and tried to find the cat. I kept on trying to find the cat but I couldn't find it. I came inside the house and poured some milk to the cat's plate that I bought a few weeks ago. I then went outside again and put the milk on the floor.
Later on the day, I went outside and tried to find the plate of milk but it was not there neither the milk or the plate. I went around the garden but I couldn't find the cat and I couldn't find the plate. I was in shock because how would the cat hold a glass plate and take or hold it around and leave.
Finally, I found the cat and the plate of milk and the plate was empty and the cat was sleeping and everything was fine.

kindness
At the beginning of the school year me, Aisha and Hessa decided to raise money and then buy food, beds for animals, toys... for the animal shelter PAWS. The first thing we did was a bake sale and Neil and Chloe decided to join and do the bake sale with us. The total of the bake sale was 800 rials. That is one of the kind things I did during this school year.
I gave some money to one of my class mates because he was hungry and wanted to get a slushy and nachos.
